NP Set Event in DTLA

As I walked up to staples center to attend the Target Style Pop Up event, I started to think about how fabulous Downtown Los Angeles has become since I was kid. With stadiums, concert halls, great condos and the new addition of Target- there is no way of hiding it- DTLA is officially the new "it neighborhood" to live in. With a pink carpets, white tents and fabulous products filling up the Nokia quad area, the surroundings quickly softened the neighborhood and I felt beyond special and feminine.

Along with my new happy and fabulous blogging buddy, Marla of Marlita on the Run (yaaay!!) we ventured into the tents for some make up touch ups and tutorials before we headed upstairs to the Par-tay with Mr. Napoleon Perdis himself.

Now I have to say- it's not very often that you get meet people in this industry that are nice but Napoleon was beyond that. As he entered the party he was gracious, sweet and greeted every single person before heading to what seemed like hundreds of interviewees waiting to speak to him. While we waited to hear from him, we were treated to many delicious treats, a wonderful Cirque De Solei type of show and fabulous pink drinks. I have to say- the staff at this event was overwhelmingly wonderful and attentive- some of the best service and menu items I have had in a very long time (uumm hello tuna tar tar from heaven!). After a short while I was pleasantly surprised when Napoleon himself walked up to us to introduce himself and have a delightful short conversation with us about the event. Then to my surprise, before I could even reach for my camera- he was asking if it would be ok for us to take a picture together. omg... what a beyond humble move, so of course I said yes!! (the result is seen below). We stuck around for a little while longer, tested the make up and of course tried all the appetizers and as we walked out were pleasantly surprised to receive a great gift box filled with beauty products for us to test out (review to come soon)! Honestly the event was planned wonderfully, the host was beyond pleasant and the DJ was playing some wonderful tunes. Can't wait to visit the Target location in DTLA and attend the next event held near the LA area!
